A poor start put Tiffin University (12-6) in a hole early in its GLIAC Semifinal game against Findlay, and the Dragons were unable to bounce back and take the lead, falling 13-10 to end their season.
Tiffin struggled to get the offense rolling early, falling behind 5-1 after the first 17 minutes. TU came back to get within 7-5 with 5:00 to play in the half but Findlay answered with two goals right before the break to lead 9-6 at halftime.
TU opened the second half with 2 goals to pull to within 9-8 but Findlay succeeded in slowing the game down, playing keep-away from the Dragons. With 8:30 to play Findlay rattled off three consecutive goals that put the game away for the Oilers.
Overall Findlay outshot TU 23-20 and forced 15 TU turnovers. Morgan Sherley had 5 goals and an assist for TU, but no one else could manage more than 2, as Emily Roussel had 2 goals and 5 draw controls and Amanda Flotteron had 2 goals. Tori Nelson contributed a goal and assist with 4 draws, while Kat Schneeberger had 5 saves in the nets.
