Ben Morhac named Head Women’s Lacrosse Coach

Ben Morhac has been named Head Women's Lacrosse Coach at Tiffin University.

Prior to Tiffin, he was the head coach at Lawrence University in Wisconsin where he spearheaded the development of a start-up women's lacrosse program. Before his stint at Lawrence, he was the head coach at NCAA Division II Notre Dame College in Cleveland, Ohio.

At Notre Dame, he transformed a struggling program into a conference champion, leading the team to back-to-back titles. In 2021 and 2022, the Falcons were Mountain East Conference regular season champions and conference tournament champions. In 2021, he was named the MEC Coach of the Year. He was also a National Coach of the Year finalist.

His 2021 squad finished top 20 in the country in multiple categories (caused turnovers per game, draw controls per game, lowest number of turnovers per game, and save percentage). During his four years at Notre Dame, he compiled a 34-21 record with a 24-4 mark in MEC play.

Morhac also has coaching stops in Iowa, at Morningside College and Clarke University. During his time as a head coach, Morhac has coached 39 All-Conference players.

Morhac graduated from St. Norbert College in 2010 with a B.A. in Graphic Design. He was a three-sport athlete in college and was a four-year starter on the lacrosse team where he earned First Team All-Conference honors as a goalie three times.

"We are excited to welcome Ben Morhac as our next Head Women's Lacrosse Coach," said Assistant Vice President for Athletics and Director of Athletics Kelly Daniel. "Ben's experience as a head coach will allow us to build upon the momentum and success of last season while continuing to elevate our program. He brings a tremendous knowledge of the game, a strong competitive mindset, and a relentless passion for developing student-athletes both on and off the field."

Daniel added, "Throughout the interview process, Ben established an outstanding connection with our team, and it was clear that his vision, leadership, and energy resonated with our student-athletes. Our players are excited to get to work under Coach Ben's leadership, and we look forward to the continued growth and success of our women's lacrosse program."

"I am incredibly grateful to Athletic Director Kelly Daniel for this opportunity and excited to get started at Tiffin University," said Morhac. "The success this program has achieved over the past few seasons has created a tremendous foundation, and I'm honored to build upon it. I look forward to working with our student-athletes, connecting with the campus community, and continuing to grow a culture that reflects pride, hard work, and excellence both on and off the field."
