Tiffin University (5-4, 3-1 GLIAC) exploded from the opening whistle, racing to an 8-0 lead en route to avenging a loss to Findlay just 10 days ago with a 20-9 victory.
Tiffin got two goals apiece from Tori Nelson, Morgan Sherley, Emily Roussel, and Amanda Flotteron in the first 17 minutes of the game, putting the Oilers in a big hole early. The Oilers responded with five of the next six goals to cut the deficit to 9-5, but TU scored 3 more goals in the closing 2:00 of the half to take a 12-7 lead to the break.
The Dragons kept up the relentless pressure, scoring 8 more goals while clamping down on the Oilers' offense. Findlay scored just 2 goals in the final 30 minutes.
TU held a 33-31 shot advantage, but goalkeeper Kat Schneeberger played a strong game, making 14 saves. TU held an 18-11 edge in ground balls and only committed 11 turnovers in the game. They were also perfect 4-for-4 on free position shots.
