Box Score 1 | Box Score 2

Tiffin University (11-30, 3-21 G-MAC) dropped its final two games to Ohio Dominican on Alumni Day, losing 11-0 and 19-14.

In the opener, Logan Fisher took the loss, going 3 innings and allowing 4 earned runs. The Dragons managed just 6 singles in the game and had only 2 runners in scoring position in the game.

In the nightcap, things changed for TU dramatically as they totaled 14 hits in the game and scored 9 runs in the first inning for the second day in a row. Unfortunately for the Dragons, ODU managed to chip away at the lead and win the game with late-inning offense.

In the first inning, Logan Swonger and Tim Orr both singled. Griffin Stevens followed with another single for TU's first run. Hilario DeLaPaz also singled, and Ricky Havrilla cracked a double for 2 RBI. Another run scored on a groundout to second base by Tommy Thamann. Ty Hatfield then singled followed by a double by Carter Klausing. Swonger came back up and doubled for 2 RBI. Orr put the finishing touches on the opening inning with a two-run home run as TU jumped out to a 9-1 lead.

In the second up 9-6, the Dragons scored again. Havrilla reached on an error at short and Thamann walked. Hatfield then blasted a three-run shot that put TU ahead 12-6.

Another run went on the board for TU in the third as Stevens hit a solo shot.

The Panthers kept the game close by totaling 15 hits of their own. With TU ahead just 13-12 in the fourth, TU scored its final runs of the game when Clausing walked, Swonger was hit by a pitch, Orr walked, and Ben Bach then walked to force in a run.

ODU finally turned the corner and took the lead with a big six-run sixth inning. The Dragons could not muster a response as they had only two runners in scoring position over the last four innings.

Scott Adelman started and allowed 5 earned runs over 2 innings. Evan Engle followed with an inning of work, allowing 6 earned runs. Patrick Dinnen took the loss, going 2.1 innings and allowing 4 runs (2 earned).

Orr had 3 hits with a double and home run for 2 RBI, Hatfield had 2 hits with a home run for 4 RBI, while Swonger and Stevens had 2 hits and 2 RBI apiece.
