Tiffin University (0-3) battled for 66 minutes with unbeaten Assumption (4-0), finally falling in a back and forth war 11-10 in two overtimes.
The Dragons stayed on the Greyhounds' backs throughout the game, forcing a tie seemingly every time Assumption got a one-goal advantage. With TU leading 9-8 with 17:47 left in regulation, Assumption rallied for 2 goals to go ahead 10-9 with 8:32 left. The Dragons tied it again with 5:56 left but neither team could find the net as the game went to two overtime periods.
Assumption's Amy McNeil scored with 14 seconds left in the first overtime period to give the Greyhounds a 11-10 lead. TU could not manage a single shot in the two overtime periods, with Assumption outshooting them 6-0 over those six minutes.
Overall Assumption outshot TU 32-22 and grabbed 38 ground balls to TU's 26. TU won the draws 13-12 but committed 23 turnovers.
Tori Nelson continued her solid start with 4 more goals along with 3 ground balls and 5 draw controls. Amanda Flotteron had 2 goals while Gina Abulone had a goal and 2 assists. Katie Hill, Morgan Sherley, and Alexis MacMillan also had goals. Jessica Bombard made 15 saves over 66 minutes.
