Tiffin University (4-8, 2-1 GLIAC) used a big second half to cruise past Walsh 21-7, their third win in their last four games.
Tiffin jumped out to a 6-1 lead in the first 12 minutes, with Tori Nelson getting three of those goals. But the Cavaliers mounted a comeback, outscoring TU 5-1 over the remainder of the half to trail 7-6 at halftime.
The final 30 minutes, however, saw Tiffin dominate play, outscoring Walsh 14-1 and holding edges in shots (23-7) and draw controls (12-4). Overall the Dragons outshot Walsh 40-19 while also holding a 17-9 lead in ground balls. They won the draws 20-10 and forced 18 Walsh turnovers while committing only 10.
Emily Roussel had another big game, scoring 8 goals with 4 assists along with 6 draw controls. Nelson finished with 6 goals and an assist, while Gina Abulone had 3 goals and 4 assists. Alexis MacMillan posted 2 goals and 2 assists with 7 draw controls. Overall the Dragons defense accounted for 13 caused turnovers.
Jessica Bombard got the win in goal, making 5 saves.
