Tiffin University (2-8, 0-1 GLIAC) struggled through the first half of its GLIAC opener at Findlay, falling behind 14-1 at the half before ultimately losing 18-11.
The Dragons were outshot 27-4 in the first half, as they fell behind 9-0 after the first 15:00. The Dragons did outscore Findlay 10-4 in the second half, as the Oilers were content to only put up 5 shots in the half.
Overall UF held a 32-16 shot advantage while winning the ground ball battle 31-18. Tiffin also had 20 turnovers, 15 in the first half.
Gina Abulone led the team with 3 goals and an assist. Kalie Weinheimer, Emily Roussel, and Alexis MacMillan all had 2 goals each, while Morgan Sherley and Kelsey DeRidder also had goals. Katelyn Hill and Haley Swanson added assists.
