Tiffin University (3-6, 1-0 GLIAC) made the most of their first-ever GLIAC women's lacrosse game, blasting past the University of Findlay (2-8, 0-1) 21-5 in a record-setting performance.
The Dragons recorded a record 17 total assists in the game and scored over 20 goals for the second consecutive game. They jumped out to a 7-0 lead to open the game. After Findlay scored two quick goals to cut the score to 7-2, the Dragons regrouped and finished strong, outscoring the Oilers 9-1 over the next 15 minutes to take a 16-3 halftime lead.
The Dragons forced 21 Findlay turnovers and took outhustled the Oilers throughout the night, grabbing 45 ground balls to Findlay's 12. They also outshot Findlay 41-23, including 27-16 in the first half.
Alexandria Quast had another monster game, scoring 9 goals with 4 assists for 13 points along with 11 ground balls and tying her own record with 5 caused turnovers. Alexis MacMillan also played well, scoring 3 goals while dishing out 7 assists for 10 points with 5 ground balls.
Emily Roussel had 4 goals and an assist, while Katelyn Hill had 2 goals and an assist and 11 draw controls, 8 ground balls, and 3 caused turnovers. Kalie Weinheimer added 2 goals, while Kelsey DeRidder also scored with an assist. Shannon Lubin had 2 assists, and Megan Belch also had an assist.
Jessica Bombard got the win in goal, making 11 saves over 47 minutes and allowing 3 goals. Kellie Gruber also allowed 2 goals in her 13 minutes of action.
