Another game, another broken school record.
Tiffin University (8-8, 6-2 GLIAC) shattered the school's single game goal record in their regular season finale at Alderson-Broaddus, smoking the Battlers 27-2 as the Dragons prepare to host their first-ever conference playoff game Tuesday night at 8 pm.
The Dragons dominated from the outset, leading 19-1 at the half. Goalkeeper Jessica Bombard started the game but played just 15 minutes before Kellie Gruber entered and finished the game.
Alexandria Quast had another huge game, scoring 10 goals with 5 assists along with 3 ground balls. Her 10 goals now gives her 265 goals and brings her within 10 goals of tying for second in NCAA Division II history in career goals. Her 15 points also gives her 376 career points, good for fourth all-time in Division II history and just 14 points from the all-time NCAA record of 390.
Alexis MacMillan also had a big game, scoring 3 times and dishing out 7 assists. Katelyn Hill had 4 goals with an assist along with 11 draw controls. Emily Roussel also had 5 goals, Kalie Weinheimer had 2 goals with 4 ground balls, and Shannon Lubin and Molly Kruse also had goals.
TU outshot A-B 41-4 while also holding edges in ground balls (23-14), draw controls (20-9), and forcing 20 turnovers.
