For the second game in a row, Tiffin University's women's lacrosse team found themselves in a big first half deficit and failed to dig their way out of it, falling at Lake Erie 18-11.
The Dragons (1-7) battled the Storm early, trailing just 3-2 before Lake Erie rattled off 5 straight goals and 8 of the next 9 goals to eventually take a 11-5 lead into the halftime break.
The Dragons were outshot 33-25 in the game and were also controlled on the draws 20-11. The Dragons could get no closer than within 5 goals during the second half.
Alexandria Quast had 5 goals to lead TU, while Alexis MacMillan had 2 goals and an assist along with 6 draw controls. Kalie Weinheimer also had 2 goals, while Kaitlin Clarke had a score and Kelley Miller added an assist.
Jessica Bombard took the loss in goal, making 6 saves while facing 33 shots over 60 minutes.
