The two teams combined for 23 runs and 34 hits over 8 innings. Tiffin tallied 8 runs in the first inning and led 10-0 entering the fourth inning.

In the first, Jules King singled and stole second. Reagan Mengerink then singled to the pitcher to put runners at the corners. With two outs, the Dragons exploded. Maddie Woods doubled for 2 RBI, and Baylee Mirgon then singled with Woods scoring on a throwing error at second base. Tara Gall then singled and Aubrie Harper followed with another RBI single. After Maya Miles reached on a fielder's choice, King was hit by a pitch to force home another run. Mengerink then doubled to left center for 3 RBI and put TU ahead 8-0.

TU got two more runs in the third inning. Harper and King singled and came home on Mengerink's double down the right field line.

The Lions roared back with 8 runs of their own in the bottom of the fourth, erasing most of the Dragons' lead. They tallied two more runs in the fifth inning to come back and tie the game 10-10.

The eruption knocked TU starter King out of the game as she allowed 8 earned runs over 3 innings. Claire Feldkamp came in and tossed the final 5 innings, allowing just 2 earned runs.

In the eighth inning, Tiffin got two runs. With two outs, Gall doubled to right field. Harper then followed with a two-run single to right center to put TU ahead 12-10.

In the bottom of the eighth, St. Leo scored once and had the tying run on base but Feldkamp pitched out of the jam foul out and a grounder to third.

Feldkamp got the mound win, while Mengerink went 5-for-5 with 5 RBI. Harper had 4 hits and 2 RBI, while King, Woods, Mirgon, and Gall all had two hits each.

In the nightcap, Feldkamp again threw well, allowing just 6 singles over 6 innings of work. The Dragons, however, could manage just one hit over 7 innings in the defeat.
