Tiffin University (8-15, 0-2 G-MAC) fell in two games at Hillsdale in its conference openers 9-1 and 5-2.

In the first game, Isabella St. Peter went just 2.2 innings, allowing 4 hits and one earned run. Shelbey Spurlock finished with 2 innings, also allowing 4 hits and 2 earned runs.

The Dragons managed just two hits in the game, including a fifth-inning home run by Tara Gall.

The Chargers scored 7 runs in the third inning and 2 more in the fifth to end the game.

In the nightcap, Claire Feldkamp took the loss, going 6 innings and fanning 6 while allowing just one earned run and 10 hits.

This time the Dragons managed 5 hits, with Gall adding two of them along with another homer. Madie Legg also had a double.

TU got a run in the fourth on Gall's blast. In the seventh, Gall and Maci Head singled and moved up a base on a grounder to first. Legg then grounded out to shortstop to bring a run home.
