Tiffin University (1-6, 0-1 GLIAC) got off on the wrong foot in their conference opener, allowing 4 goals in a six-minute stretch in falling to Walsh 4-1.

The goals came fast and furious for the Cavalliers starting in the 11th minute, in which they tallied two goals. Another goal came in the 15th minute, and their final goal came in the 17th minute off an own goal. Brianna Sanborn accounted for a hat trick in that six minute stretch.

Tiffin tried to mount a comeback after halftime, with Svetlana Gudenkova knocking in a shot off a rebound shot from Taylor Lewis in the 47th minute, but the Dragons could get no more goals despite a stronger offensive effort in the half. 

Overall Walsh outshot TU 19-13 (12-5 at the half), including a 14-5 advantage in shots on goal. 

Samantha Ortenzi took the loss in goal, making 10 saves over 90 minutes.
