Women's Soccer Comes From Behind to Defeat Ohio Dominican 2-1 in Season Finale

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Tiffin University women's soccer team wrapped up the 2026 campaign on Tuesday night with a 2-1 win in come from behind fashion over Ohio Dominican. Tiffin finishes the year 7-8-3 overall and 5-7-2 in the G-MAC.

Though Tiffin just missed out on a G-MAC Tournament berth, the seven wins overall and five wins in conference play both represent the most in a season since 2022.

The Dragons had to play from behind as Ohio Dominican struck early in the 11th minute to take a 1-0 lead, but the Dragons were able to tie shortly after in the 18th minute. Standing at midfield, Amanda Fuery fed the ball up to Dani Garner and Garner beat the Panthers' goalkeeper one on one to make it a 1-1 game going into halftime.

In the second half, TU goalkeeper Sam McPhee made three saves in the first 10 minutes to keep the game tied and Tiffin took a 2-1 lead in the 68th minute on Callie Cacchione's unassisted goal as ODU's goalkeeper came off her line allowing Cacchione to put the ball into the back of the empty net.

McPhee made one last save in the 87th minute to preserve the win and went the distance in goal to earn the win while making six saves and Garner led the offense with four shots.

The Panthers edged the Dragons in total shots, 13-12, while the Dragons held a slim advantage of 8-7 in shots on goal. The only three corner kicks of the game belonged to the Dragons.
