Tiffin University (19-10, 4-3 GLIAC) set off the fireworks in their 7-1 win at Malone, smashing three home runs to propel them to victory. TU picked up just one win in the scheduled doubleheader as the second game was halted in the fourth inning with the score tied 2-2. The second game will only be completed if necessary for postseason seeding purposes.
TU jumped out to a 6-0 lead in the completed game, not allowing a run until the 5th inning. Michelle Poe, Sarah Brown, and Jena King all went yard to lead the 13-hit Dragon attack.
Kimmy Reynolds got the win, going the distance and allowing just 6 hits and one earned run with 8 strikeouts.
Poe finished with 3 hits including a double and home run for 2 RBI, while King's blast also gave her 2 RBI. Sarah Brown had 2 hits with a home run and RBI, while Libby Crow had 2 hits with a double. Samantha Ringwalt also had 2 hits with an RBI.
