Allyson Rock had a big night in a pair of victories at Northwood, as Tiffin (24-16-1, 9-9-1 GLIAC) won 9-3 and 5-4 to continue their recent hot streak.
In the opener, TU scored 9 runs in the first two innings. They benefited from a costly Northwood error that allowed TU to score 4 unearned runs. Rock started her big night with a steal of home in that inning. She followed it up in the second inning with a grand slam to bust the game open.
Sarah Brown got the win with 4 innings of relief, allowing just 2 hits and 0 earned runs. Kimmy Reynolds started the game and went 3 innings, allowing 3 earned runs on 6 hits.
Besides Rock's big blast, Cassandra Brown had a double. Overall TU had just 5 hits in the game.
In the nightcap, Rock came through again, hitting the game-winning single in the bottom of the 7th for the walkoff RBI.
Tiffany Snell pitched 5 innings and allowed 2 earned runs, but it was Sarah Brown who got another win in relief, tossing 2 innings of one-hit, scoreless ball.
TU led 2-0 early but Northwood got 3 runs in the 4th inning. TU came back and tied it in the 5th and the two teams remained tied heading to the 7th inning.
Cassandra Brown had 3 hits with an RBI, while Amanda Rock and Samantha Ringwalt had doubles. Jena King hit a solo home run, while Libby Crow also had an RBI.
