Tiffin University could not get the bats working consistently, dropping two games to Hillsdale 4-1 and 3-2.
In the opener, Amanda Rock singled home a run to tie the score at 1-1. Trailing 2-1 in the fifth inning, Hillsdale managed to get two insurance runs off reliever Kelsey Yaratch to pad their lead.
Kimmy Reynolds took the loss, pitching 6 innings and allowing 2 earned runs, but the Dragons offense mustered little support, managing just 4 hits in the game. Rock had 2 of them with TU's lone RBI.
In game two, Tiffany Snell looked strong over the first 5 innings but seemed to run out of gas in the 6th with the Dragons leading 2-0. Snell walked the first two batters. Sarah Brown came on in relief but could not get the job done, allowing a single that made it 2-1 and then a double that put the Chargers on top 3-2.
Michelle Poe had 2 hits with an RBI while Allyson Rock also had 2 hits. Libby Crow added a double. Brown took the loss in relief over two-thirds of an inning. Snell got the no-decision despite allowing just 1 hit over 5.1 innings.
