Lee University wasted no time on Sunday, crossing the plate in the 2nd inning for their first run of the ballgame. Two more came home for Lee in the following frame, putting the Dragons down 3-0. Dragon starter Luke Fraley coasted into the 4th inning, having already surrendered three runs. In the 4th inning, the Flames chased Fraley from the mound with a five spot.
The Dragon offense scuffled throughout the day, collecting only two hits. Lee continued the merry-go-round ride around the base paths, scoring 12 runs in total. The Dragons pushed their lone run across the plate in the 8th inning. Devon Fisk's infield bouncer scored Garrett Vernau to breakup Lee's attempt at a shutout.
