Tiffin University (20-16, 10-7 GLIAC) stranded 18 runners over a twinbill loss at Lake Erie, falling in the opener 5-1 and losing the nightcap in the 7th inning 3-2.
In the opener, TU took an early lead on Payton Denman's solo home run. But that was the only big blast for TU, as they managed just 5 singles the rest of the way. Tiffin allowed 3 unearned runs in the third inning and stranded 8 runners the rest of the way in the loss. Kimmy Reynolds took the loss, allowing 2 earned runs over 6 innings.
In the nightcap, Kelsey Yaratch started and pitched 4 innings, allowing one earned run. Tiffin tied the game at 1-1 shortly after her exit, but Sarah Brown was unable to hold the Storm off the board, allowing 2 runs in the top of the seventh.
Cassandra Brown hit a solo home run in the bottom of the seventh but TU could not get anything else going. Overall TU stranded 10 runners in game two. Kristen Prokopakis had 2 hits, as did Delaney Mixer with a double.
