Tiffin University Women's Soccer team tasted victory today with a 2-1 road victory at Ursuline College. After a tough opening stretch of the season the Dragons built a first half lead and played even soccer over the final 45 minutes to put their first mark in the win column this season.

Tiffin outshot Ursuline in the first half, but by only one shot 9-8. The one shot that made the difference came off the foot of Svetlana Gudenkova at 26:34 of the first half. Goalkeeper Samantha Ortenzi did not allow a first half goal while making four saves.

Ursuline played a more aggressive offensive second half, outshooting the Dragons 10-6. But, Drew Plummer was able to increase the Dragon lead to two goals when she scored off an assist from Gudenkova at 49:19. Ursuline continued to battle and were able to cut the lead in half when Taylor Dackin scored from Vanessa Consiglio at 52:40. Ortenzi matched her first half with four saves in half number two.

Tiffin improves to 1-5 and will be back in action Friday at 10 am when they host Saginaw Valley State University to kickoff Homecoming weekend and will host Ferris State University Sunday at 1 pm. Both games can be seen at http://www.tudragonradio.com. Ursuline falls to 5-2.
