XENIA, Ohio - Freshman Kyle Durham had two hits as the Tiffin University baseball team (17-32) lost 9-2 to Lake Erie (29-18) in the GLIAC Tournament, Thursday night at Grady's Field.
Lake Erie started off quick scoring two runs in the first inning. In the third inning, freshman Devon Fisk singled and moved to second on a sacrifice bunt. Fisk would score following back-to-back wild pitches.
The Storm would score twice in the fifth to make it 4-1. In the sixth, junior Nick Calandra singled and moved to second on a ground out. Durham singled to centerfield to score Calandra. In the bottom of the sixth, LEC scored five runs to seal the game.
For Tiffin, freshman Dan Sexton (2-5) gave up five hits, four runs, three earned, walked one and struck out three in five innings.
For LEC, Sean Matthews had three hits and scored three runs while Zach DeCamp had two hits and drove in three runs. Brad Raley (5-3) gave up nine hits, two runs, walked three and struck out five in nine innings.
