TIFFIN, Ohio - It was pitching all around as the Tiffin University baseball team (17-31, 16-15 GLIAC) lost 1-0 to Ohio Dominican (26-22, 15-17 GLIAC), Sunday afternoon at Heminger Field.
Ohio Dominican used three hits to score a run in the second inning. In the bottom of the second Tiffin had runners at second and third with one out. The Panthers got a strike out and ground out to end the threat.
In the seventh and ninth innings, the Dragons managed to get a runner on with one out. ODU turned them back both times.
For Tiffin, freshman Devon Fisk and junior Nick Calandra had two hits each. Senior Kevin Kline (2-4) gave up five hits, one run, walked one and struck out five in four innings.
For ODU, Alex Borgan (5-4) threw an eight hitter with one walk and struck out 12 in nine innings.
