Tiffin University (13-6, 3-1 GLIAC) bounced back from a disappointing first game to earn a split with visiting Findlay, winning 8-3 after losing the opener 10-4.
In the victory, Taylor Spang picked up the win, tossing 6 innings of 4 hit ball with 5 strikeouts and just 2 earned runs allowed. Tiffin's offense helped Spang out, racking up 14 hits as they scored 7 runs in the first three innings.
Madison Yanek collected 3 hits with a double for 2 RBI, while Jena King also had 2 hits. Payton Denman had 2 hits with a double and RBI, while Spang helped her own cause with 2 hits and an RBI.
In the opener, TU allowed 6 unearned runs, committing 5 errors with 6 walks and a wild pitch. Yanek took the loss, pitching 4.2 innings and walking 5 while allowing 2 earned runs.
Kristin Prokopakis had 3 hits with an RBI but was the only Dragon with multiple hits. Tiffin also had no extra base hits.
