Tiffin University (7-15, 4-14 GLIAC) could not overcome 30 turnovers in the game, as a first half collapse put them in a hole they could not dig themselves out of. Walsh beat the Dragons 85-69.
Walsh jumped on TU right out of the game, amassing a 14-5 lead. The Dragons bounced back to cut the deficit to 3 points, but Walsh then exploded on a 27-11 run that led to a 45-29 halftime deficit. The Dragons could get no closer than 13 points the rest of the way.
Tiffin shot 42 percent but allowed the Cavaliers to shoot at a 51 percent clip. The Dragons did outrebound Walsh 42-34 but the Cavaliers held a 20-8 advantage at the free throw line. Walsh also scored 33 points off TU turnovers.
Jordan Fraley led TU with 14 points followed by Karli Mast's 11. Jillian Adams had 9 points while Anya Misko had 8 points and 6 rebounds. Deidre McKay contributed 7 points, and Jessica Farr had 6 points with 7 rebounds.
