Tiffin University (9-18, 4-16 G-MAC) saw its season come to a close with a 65-59 defeat at Cedarville.
TU started well, shooting 40 percent in the first quarter and holding the Yellow Jackets to 30 percent from the floor in taking a 15-10 lead.
Both teams struggled from the floor in the second quarter but the Dragons still held the lead at halftime 26-22.
Cedarville took control of the game in the third quarter, shooting 53 percent from the field including 50 percent from three-point as it outscored TU 19-11 in the quarter and held a 41-37 lead heading to the fourth quarter.
With the score tied 47-47 with 5:59 to play, Cedarville went on an 11-1 run over the 3:30 to push its lead to 10 points. Tiffin managed to cut the deficit to 4 points with 21 seconds remaining, but the Yellow Jackets finished 9 for 9 from the line in the game including 4 for 4 in the fourth quarter to seal the victory.
Cedarville held a 40-30 edge in rebounding while most other team statistics were even.Â
Isabelle Niederst led the team with 15 points, while
Hailey Unger had 13 points with 3 assists.
Myka Richardson also reached double figures off the bench with 11 points and 7 rebounds.
Megan Campbell also added 7 points.
