COLUMBUS, Ohio - They say that hard work bears rewards. The Tiffin University women's soccer team (1-5, 1-1 GLIAC) found their reward was a 1-0 win over Ohio Dominican (4-3-1, 1-2 GLIAC), Friday night at Panther Field.
At the 34:08 mark, junior Hope Bowman fired a perfect strike to the left side of the box. Senior Giulianne Domingues blasted the ball into the net.
Tiffin had seven shots, three on goal, two corner kicks and was called for eight fouls. Junior Hayley Coppola was the Rock of Tiffin making 14 saves to preserve the win.
Ohio Dominican had 28 shots, 14 on goal, seven corner kicks and was called for four fouls.
Tiffin remains on the road, Sunday, Sept. 29, taking on Ashland. The game is scheduled to start at 1:00 p.m.
