Tiffin University (17-21, 11-11 GLIAC) could not manage any offense against visiting Ashland, falling 9-0 in 9 innings and 5-0 in a 7-inning non-conference game. They also fell 11-2 in the completion of a suspended game from last week, playing the final 2 innings before starting the next two games.
In the 9-inning defeat, Logan Sendelbach took the loss, going 5.2 innings and allowing 3 earned runs while walking 5 and fanning 5. Ashland chipped away at the Dragons throughout the game and then blew the game open with 5 runs in the top of the 9th.
TU managed just 4 hits, with Nick Calandra's double being the lone extra base hit. Ashland, meanwhile, managed 18 hits.
In game two, Tyler Glass took the loss despite allowing just one earned run over 5 innings. He also fanned 6 hitters. But the Dragons again struggled at the plate, managing just 3 singles. Colin Sallee had 2 of the hits. Ashland put the game away with 3 runs in the top of the 6th inning.
