Tiffin University (14-16, 8-4 GLIAC) managed a split with Walsh, pulling out a 4-3 win in 12 innings before falling 5-2 in game two.
Amber Young picked up the gritty victory in the opener, tossing all 12 innings and allowing 6 hits and 2 earned runs with 6 strikeouts. The Dragons managed to score twice in the 12th inning, getting one run on Kasie Sepeda's double and getting another on an unearned run. The Cavaliers managed to get one back in the bottom of the frame but could get no more.
Brianna Gamm had 2 hits and a double while Jena King also had 3 hits.
In game two, Walsh scored 5 times over the first four innings, handing Kelsey Yaratch the loss after just 1.1 innings of work in which she allowed 3 earned runs. TU had the bases loaded in the fifth inning but could not get any more runners home.
Payton Denman had 2 hits and Sepeda added a triple, but overall TU could manage just 5 hits in the game.
