ASHLAND, Ohio - The Tiffin University baseball team (15-16, 9-7 GLIAC) lost 4-0 to #14 Ashland (22-8, 11-4 GLIAC), Friday afternoon at Donges Field. The Eagles led 11-2 in game two when it was suspended after five innings due to darkness. It is scheduled to be finished on Wednesday, April 17 in Tiffin.
Ashland scored one run in the fourth inning. The Eagles then scored three in the fifth to secure the victory.
For Tiffin, freshman Cole McCurry had a double and was hit by a pitch for the 19th time this season. He ranks among the top seven in the country. Junior Joe Perretta (2-2) gave up eight hits, four runs, walked one and struck out four in seven innings.
For Ashland, Tyler Gray had three hits and drove in two runs. Brad Thomas (7-1) threw a three-hitter with four srtrikeouts.
