TIFFIN, Ohio - Senior Ryan Williams had four hits as the Tiffin University baseball team (11-13, 5-4 GLIAC) beat Hillsdale (10-11, 3-5 GLIAC) 13-7, Saturday afternoon at Heminger Field.
In the first inning, Tiffin opened with singles from freshman Cole McCurry and senior Jordan Stum. Senior Ryan Williams singled up the middle to score McCurry and move Stum to second. Senior KC Weber had a fielder's choice that plated Stum.
Hillsdale would score two runs each in the fourth and fifth innings to take a 4-2 lead. The Dragons scored 10 over the next two innings to seal the game.
For Tiffin, Williams had four hits and scored twice, senior Roger Christensen had two hits and drove in three runs and senior Ryan Locke had two hits, scored three runs and drove in two runs. Freshman Mike Cooperider (1-0) gave up six hits, two runs, walked one and struck out two in 2.3 innings.
For Hillsdale, Mike Vanchieri had three hits. Kris Morris (0-6) gave up six hits, six runs, walked one and struck out three in four innings.
Tiffin hits the road, April 2-3 to take on Grand Valley State.
