Tiffin University (6-12) finished their Florida trip on a high note, defeating Lees-McRae 8-5 and Ferris State 5-3.
In the opener against Lees-McRae, Amber Young started and went 3.2 innings, allowing no earned runs. Kelsey Yaratch got the win in relief, pitching 3.1 innings and allowing one earned run.
The Dragons led 4-0 in the third inning but allowed 4 unearned runs on 3 errors in the fourth inning. After Lees-McRae tied it in the fifth inning, the Dragons rallied for 2 runs in the sixth inning and another run in the seventh for the win.
Caitlin Houk had two hits with a double and 2 RBI, while Jena King had two hits with a double. Kasie Sepeda had 3 hits with a double, while Brianna Gamm and Cassandra Brown also had 2 hits. Payton Denman also had a double.
Against Ferris State, TU once again led 4-0 in the second inning but allowed two unearned runs in the 5th inning to make the score 4-3. TU picked up an insurance run in the bottom of the 6th inning and held on for the win.
Sarah Brown got the win, tossing 7 innings of 2-hit ball and allowing no earned runs with 4 strikeouts. Cassandra Brown had 2 hits for 3 RBI, Emily Shaw had 2 hits with 2 RBI, and Kristin Robinson had 2 hits as well.
