CLEARWATER, Fla. - Senior KC Weber and sophomores Nick Calandra and Nick Hueneburg had two hits each as the Tiffin University baseball team (4-6) split with Kentucky Wesleyan (4-5) at the Clearwater Invitational, Monday morning at Jack Russell Stadium. KWC won the first 3-2 while TU took the nightcap 4-3.
In game one, Tiffin had runners at the corners in the top of the seventh. Kentucky Wesleyan got a ground ball to pick up the win. Weber had a double while seniors Brock Mitchell and Ryan Williams each drove in a run.
In the nightcap, the Dragons scored three runs in the bottom of the seventh to rally for the win. Senior Cody Dunn (1-0) picked up the win. Calandra had a double and drove in a run while Weber had a hit and drove in a run.
Tiffin remains in Florida, playing two games, Tuesday, March 12. They play Saint Joseph's (Ind.) at 11:00 a.m. and Eckerd at 7:00 p.m.
