Tiffin University (3-8) fell in two games in their Florida opener, as Long Island Post (2-0) won 6-2 and Minnesota St.-Mankato (9-4) posted a 5-1 victory.

Against LI-Post, Madison Yanek took the loss, going 6 innings and allowing 5 earned runs on 10 hits, fanning 6. Tiffin was also plagued by 3 errors and 10 left on base.

Tiffin trailed 3-1 in the sixth inning but LI-Post tallied 3 more runs to take a commanding 6-1 lead. Still, the Dragons had their chances, stranding 4 runners over the final two innings.

Torrie Terry had 2 hits while Caitlin Houk and Cassandra Brown had RBIs.

Against Mankato, Amber Young took the loss, lasting 1.2 innings and allowing 5 earned runs on 7 hits. Kelsey Yaratch finished the game, tossing 4.1 innings and allowing just one hit.

TU managed just 5 singles in the game, with Brianna Gamm getting the lone RBI.
