Tiffin University (0-2) opened its 2013 season at the Alabama Charger Chillout Tournament, taking on Indianapolis and Maryville. The Dragons fell 5-0 to the Greyhounds and then fell in a close game 3-1 to Maryville.

In the opener, the Dragons struggled to get runners home, leaving 10 on base overall including 7 over the final 4 innings. The Dragons had 6 hits, with Kristin Prokopakis getting 2 hits. Madison Yanek and Emily Shaw had doubles.

Sarah Brown took the loss, allowing 4 earned runs over 4.2 innings while walking 7 along with hitting a batter.

In game two, Maryville came up with 2 runs in the fifth inning to take the win. The Dragons had the tying runs on in the sixth inning and also brought the tying run to the plate in the seventh inning but could not get runs home each time.

Prokopakis added two more hits while Cassandra Brown had a double. Yanek took the mound loss, going 6 innings and allowing 3 earned runs on 6 hits.
