CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Seniors Ashley Davis and Lauren Merriman scored as the Tiffin University women's soccer team (2-1) defeated Cedarville (0-2) 2-0, Tuesday evening at Yellow Jacket Field.

Tiffin was the aggressor in the first half putting up seven shots to three for Cedarville. At the 31:57 mark, Davis sent the ball into the box. Merriman settled, then blasted it in the twine to make it 1-0.

In the second half, the roles were reversed as the Yellow Jackets outshot the Dragons 10-4. Just 1:09 into the half, senior Alexandra Sevastakis put up a crossing pass. Davis got her head on it and put it in the net. Tiffin then played stellar defense to take the win.

Tiffin had 11 shots, four on goal, one corner kick and was called for eight fouls. Senior Lindsey Gallagher had four saves.

Cedarville had 13 shots, four on goal, six corner kicks and was called for eight fouls.
