Payton Denman had a solid freshman season, catching the attention of rival GLIAC coaches, as she landed a Second Team All-GLIAC softball team honor in 2012. Denman, a utility player from Fredericktown, Ohio, batted .294 over 39 games, fourth highest average on the team.
Also landing Honorable Mention honors were catcher/first baseman Caitlin Houk and third baseman Amanda Temple. Houk, a sophomore, had a .303 average with 3 home runs and was second on the team with 28 RBI.
Temple, meanwhile, completed her career with a strong .392 average, 56 hits, and 34 RBI, all team highs. This is her third consecutive All-GLIAC citation.
