Tiffin University (11-20, 6-12 GLIAC) fell to 20th-ranked Grand Valley State on the road 12-1 and 11-2, as the Lakers improved to 24-10, 14-6 GLIAC.
The Lakers had little trouble racking up runs in the two games, opening the day by jumping out to a 9-0 lead after two innings. The offensive assault knocked out starter David Dennemann, who lasted 1.2 innings and allowed 6 earned runs. Cody Dunn followed on the mound for the Dragons but fared no better, lasting 2.1 innings and giving up 5 more earned runs.
TU managed 5 total hits in the game while also committing 4 errors. Ryan Williams had 2 of those hits along with an RBI.
In game two, the Lakers once again exploded early, leading 4-0 after one inning. They had another crooked inning in the fifth, totaling 5 more runs.
Brent Faber took the loss, lasting 4 innings and giving up 5 earned runs on 7 hits. TU again had just 5 hits, with Pat Curtin getting 2 of them.
