PAINESVILLE, Ohio - Senior Alexandra Sevastakis scored as time was running out to give the Tiffin University women's soccer team (5-4-2, 3-2-2 GLIAC) a 2-1 win over Lake Erie (3-6-1, 2-4-1 GLIAC), Sunday afternoon at The Britt.
In the first half, at the 10:50 mark, junior Lauren Bowyer blasted a shot that was knocked away by Megan Baldacci. Freshman Stefania Viscardi gathered the loose ball and knocked it in.
At the 64:36 mark, Kaitlyn Holland slipped the ball past the Dragon keeper to make it 1-1. It looked like overtime when Sevastakis blasted a shot at the net. It deflected off Baldacci and into the net with 25 seconds left.
Tiffin had 14 shots, five on goal, three corner kicks and was called for 14 fouls.
Lake Erie had eight shots, three on goal, four corner kicks and was called for 11 fouls.
