TIFFIN, Ohio - Junior Lindsey Gallagher had six saves as the Tiffin University women's soccer team (0-1 GLIAC, 0-2-1) lost 2-1 to Findlay (1-0 GLIAC, 1-2), Wednesday afternoon at Paradiso Fields.
At the 31:12 mark, senior Shelly Rogers made a beautiful long field pass to junior Ashley Davis. Davis got past the keeper and put the ball in the twine to make it 1-0.
With just under three minutes to go in the first half, Eryn Weber scored off a throw in to tie the game up. At the 49:20 mark, Ashley Ruz fired a hard shot from 25 yards out. The ball was high and squirted through Gallagher's hands into the net.
Tiffin had five shots, two corner kicks and was called for 11 fouls. Gallagher finished the game with six saves.
For Findlay, they had 23 shots with nine on goal, six corner kicks and were called for seven fouls.
Tiffin hits the road Friday, Sept. 9, taking on Ashland. The game is scheduled to start at 2:00 p.m.
