DETROIT - The Dragons gave up four runs in the first inning of game one and the Warriors never looked back as Tiffin (6-17, 3-6) dropped a pair of games to Wayne State (16-6, 8-2) 5-2 and 12-4 Sunday afternoon.

Pat Curtin, despite dropping game one on the mound by giving up 12 hits and five runs (three earned) to fall to 2-4 on the year, had two hits in four at-bats in game two to up his season average to .400. Jordan Chiero and Michael Dushane both went 3-for-7 for the day.

Connor Wendt fell to 0-2 on the season, giving up five hits and seven runs (four earned) in 2.1 innings of work.

C.J. Maszal proved to be a very tough out for the second-straight day, collecting four hits in five at-bats with three runs scored and an RBI. Ryan Buter had four hits in six at-bats with three RBI's and two runs scored.

Alex Pierse took the win in game one, giving up two runs on seven hits. Josh Wedesky got the win in game two despite giving up nine hits and four runs in five innings of work.

Wayne State tallied four runs in the bottom of the first in game one and never looked back on the day. Brad Guenther began the game with a hit and advanced to second on a sacrifice. A single and double then scored a pair before Alex Trojan reached on an error to put men on the corners with still only one out. Curtin got an important strikeout, but Trojan stole a base to put two runners in scoring position with two gone. Phil Swanson reached on an infield single to score a run, but another TU error let the fourth run score.

After the big bottom of the first, both pitchers settled in before Tiffin got on the board in the top of the fifth. With two gone, Ryan Williams walked and advanced to third on a double by Zach McCutcheon. Dushane then reached on an error. Tiffin cut the deficit to two in the top of the sixth on a two-out double by Val Helldobler, but Wayne State answered with a single run in the bottom of the sixth as WSU won 5-2.

The home team exploded for three runs in the second and four in the third en route to a 12-4 win in game two. With one out in the second, WSU loaded the bases on two singles and a hit by pitch before Swanson singled to put the Warriors up 2-0. An error by the catcher allowed a third run to score.

Tiffin answered with one in the third, but Wayne State put the game out of reach in the bottom of the third with four. TU was able to cut the deficit to 8-4 in the fifth. With one out, Curtin and Dushane singled before a Dushane double scored Tiffin's second run with two more in scoring position. After a strikeout, Osborne got the two-out double to pick up the runners.

However, Tiffin got no closer and Wayne State scored four more in the bottom of the sixth for the final margin.
