Tiffin banged out 14 hits in dominating Findlay 9-1 in 6 innings in the opener but could not duplicate the performance in game two, falling on a walk-off two-run home run in the 8th inning in a 5-3 loss.
The Dragons (29-12, 20-6 GLIAC) had no problem with the offense in game one, breaking the game wide open with a 5-run fourth inning. Amanda Temple was one of six TU players with multiple hits, smacking 2 doubles for 3 RBIs.
Tiffany Smith had 2 RBIs on 2 hits, while Meagan Baird also had 2 hits with a double. Lauren Mazzuca, Emily Shaw, and Stephanie Bobotas also had 2 hits each. Alyssa Brown also drove in 2 runs with her lone hit.
Amber Young improved to 8-4 on the season with 6 innings of work, allowing just 3 hits and one earned run in a performance marred only by 7 walks.
In the nightcap, Abbey Cooksey was spotted a 3-0 lead highlighted by Temple's solo blast (one of her two hits), but it wasn't enough as Findlay tied it with a 3-run fourth inning and ended it on a two-run home run in the bottom of the 8th inning.
The Oilers made a number of great defensive plays in the later innings as TU's hitters ripped numerous shots but right at UF defenders. Jessie Creakbaum managed 2 hits in the game while Mazzuca also had a double.
