Tiffin University (25-10, 16-4 GLIAC) just keeps coming up with the clutch hits.

The Lady Dragons got back-to-back jacks from Tiffany Smith and Meagan Baird in the bottom of the 6th inning of the nightcap at Ferris State University, propelling them to a narrow 3-1 lead and an eventual 3-2 victory. Coupled with TU's 4-2 win in the opener, the Dragons posted a hard-fought road sweep.

In the nightcap, Amber Young got the win, tossing 7 innings and fanning 9 while allowing 2 earned runs on 6 hits.


After taking the 3-1 lead and heading to the 7th inning, the Bulldogs mounted a rally. With one out, a double plated one run but leftfielder Emily Shaw gunned down the Bulldogs baserunner at the plate for the second out to preserve the lead. Young then fanned the final batter for the complete game win.

Shaw also had two hits in game two, leading the squad.

In the opener, Mindy Meredith improved her season record to 11-2, fanning 9 and allowing just 4 hits over 7 innings.

Stephanie Bobotas had 3 hits with a triple to lead the attack, while Amanda Temple continued her strong weekend with 2 more RBIs. The Dragons held leads of 2-0, 3-1, and 4-1 before settling for the 4-2 score. The Dragons also took advantage of 4 Bulldogs errors.
