FINDLAY, Ohio - Turnabout is fair play as junior Alexandra Sevastakis had the game-winning goal as the Tiffin University women's soccer team (6-3-2, 5-1-1 GLIAC) beat Findlay (4-5-1, 3-3-1 GLIAC) 2-1, Sunday afternoon at DeHaven Field.
The Oilers had beaten the Dragons 2-1 in Tiffin on Sept. 7. With the win, TU now leads the GLIAC South by five points over Ashland.
At the 36:26 mark, senior Shelly Rogers served up a corner kick in the box. Junior Lesley Dotson got to the ball and put it in to make it 1-0.
37 seconds later, Findlay returned the favor. Katie Burke scored off a corner kick from Ann Eichman to make it 1-1. That goal ended Tiffin's shutout streak at 458 minutes and 34 seconds.
Just over 13 minutes into the second half, Sevastakis chipped in a shot from 20 yards away for the game-winner.
For Tiffin, they had seven shots with three on goal, four corner kicks and were called for five fouls. Junior Lindsey Gallagher had eight saves on the day.
For Findlay, they had 18 shots with nine on goal, three corner kicks and were called for five fouls.
