Tiffin University's women's soccer team bounced back after a disappointing showing at Findlay, dispatching Ashland 4-2 at Paradiso Fields.
The Dragons outshot the Eagles 17-5, controlling play thoughout the contest. TU also held a 9-1 shot advantage in the first half, with Shelly Rogers getting the Dragons on the board in the 5th minute with a shot from 8 yards out.
Hannah Stevens scored the first of two goals in the 37th minute, as a deflected pass led to a breakaway opportunity which Stevens chipped in over the keeper from 35 yards out.
After the 2-0 halftime break, Stevens made it 3-0 when she drilled home another deflection from 15 yards out in the 57th minute. TU upped the score to 4-0 as Lauren Turkington took a cross from Lauren Bowyer which bounced off the keeper's hands and put it in the back of the net.
Ashland got their goals in the 63rd and 85th minutes but it was too little, too late as Lindsey Gallagher got the win in goal, playing 85 minutes. Denise Resende finished out the game over the final five minutes.
