Tiffin University (26-16) got a clutch 7th inning home run from Melodi Murrieta, giving TU a 4-3 win over Wayne State. Wayne State responded in the bottom of the 7th by putting runners on second and third but could not get them home, as Amber Young got the win allowing 2 earned runs over 7 innings. In the opener, TU fell 2-1 as Abbey Cooksey lost after 7 innings and 2 earned runs. Meagan Baird had 2 hits with a double and was stranded at second base in the 7th inning as TU fell short in their rally.
