Tiffin University (18-26) got a solid 6 innings from Trevor Woodjetts and a save from Jordan Liette in a 7-6 win over Grand Valley State in game two. TU got a 3-run home run from Ty Blake in the bottom of the 5th inning and then held on as the Lakers tried to rally in the 7th inning. Blake had a big game, collecting 3 hits with a triple and home run for 4 RBI while Jason Bailey had 2 hits and Pat Curtin drove in two runs. In the opener, Kyle Klinker got off to a rough start, allowing 4 runs in one-third of an inning en route to a 14-7 loss. TU trailed 4-0 before coming to bat and, despite chipping away at the lead throughout the game, could not overcome a 10-4 deficit later in the game. Bailey had 3 hits with a triple for 2 RBI while Devin Rudolph had 2 hits with a double for 2 RBI. Corey Hornyak and Jordan Chiero had 2 hits, with Chiero and Ty Blake getting doubles. Colin Lowe also drilled a home run.
