Tiffin University (17-24) improved their April record to 11-2, using pitching and hitting to earn a 3-2 and 12-7 sweep of Wayne State. In the opener, Donnie Smith went 6.2 innings and fanned 7 in a strong outing while Jordan Liette got the save. Ty Blake and Colin Lowe had 2 hits while Jason Kulp also had 2 hits with a triple. In game two, TU turned up the offense, using a 7-run 4th inning en route to the win. Pat Curtin got the mound win after 4.1 innings of work, while Devin Rudolph had 2 hits with a double for 4 RBI. Jordan Chiero also had 2 hits with a double and 2 RBI. Val Helldobler had 2 hits with 2 RBI while Jason Bailey, Corey Hornyak, and Tom Touris also had 2 hits. Ty Blake totaled 3 hits with a double.
