Tiffin University (12-23) got tons of offense in two victories over Ashland, capping the sweep with a dramatic 3-run walk-off home run by Chris Pistorio in game two. TU opened the second game by taking a 10-4 lead but could not hold it, allowing 5 runs in the top of the 7th inning to tie the score at 14-14. Pistorio drilled the first pitch he saw for a three-run bomb to win the game. Jordan Liette got the win in relief. Jason Bailey had a huge game, stroking a double, triple, and home run for 5 RBI, while Jordan Chiero had 2 hits with a home run for 5 RBI. Devin Rudolph had 3 hits with a double, Tom Touris had 4 hits with a double, Colin Lowe had 2 hits, Jason Kulp added a double, and Val Helldobler had 2 RBI.
In the opener, Donnie Smith went 7 innings and fanned 5 for the win. TU banged out 14 hits and capitalized on 6 Ashland errors. Rudolph had 4 hits with a double and home run for 6 RBI while Bailey had 3 more hits with a home run for 2 RBI. Ty Blake had 3 hits with 2 doubles and Pat Curtin had 2 hits.
