Tiffin University put up a strong fight but could not get a ball in the back of the net, falling to Grand Valley State 2-0 in the GLIAC Championship game played at Grand Valley State. The Dragons will now wait to hear the NCAA Regional tournament selections this week.

The Lakers got on the board at 59:16 when Ashley Botts drilled a shot from the left side 20 yards into the top right corner of the net for a 1-0 lead.

After Stephanie Bowman's second yellow card, the Dragons played a man down for the remainder of regulation and weathered numerous Lakers shots before finally allowing an insurance goal at 89:09 when Botts took a breakaway down the middle and put the game away for the Lakers.

Overall Grand Valley held a 20-7 shot advantage, including 12-1 in the second half. They also held the edge in set plays with a 10-1 tally on corner kicks.

Denise Resende took the loss in goal for TU, allowing 2 goals over 90 minutes while making 3 saves.
