TU drops road game at Southern Indiana 93-73

Tiffin University (0-2) played a close first half before Southern Indiana put a late run together to give them a 10-point halftime lead en route to a 93-73 victory. TU trailed by just one point with 7:00 remaining when the Eagles put a run together to jump out to a 15 point lead with a couple minutes left in the half. TU rebounded to score 5 unanswered points, trailing at halftime 48-38.

The second half was more of the same, as USI continued their solid shooting on the night to keep TU at bay. The Eagles shot 58 percent in the contest while the Dragons also shot fairly well at 53 percent, but TU couldn't keep up in the rebounding department as the Eagles outrebounded them 34-23. TU also struggled at the free throw line, hitting 14 of 26 shots. TU was much improved in the turnover department compared to their first game, but still finished with 16 turnovers.

DeAngelo Jordan scored 15 points in the first half en route to 21 to lead the Dragons along with 4 rebounds, while Brian Scott had a strong second half to finish with 19 points. Keenan Barlow had 12 points and a team-high 5 rebounds while Rafael Cuellar also had 8 points.
